    • What does ‘Aromon’ mean?

      ‘Aromon’ is a combination of the words ‘aroma’ and Montessori’. Our designs are inspired by the unique, health-promoting aroma of hinoki wood, as well as the Montessori education method.

    • What is Montessori?

      Montessori is an education method founded in the early 1900s by Italian physicist Maria Montessori. It seeks to improve the quality of children's learning and development by providing them with the appropriate tools and a safe, well-prepared environment.

    • Why hinoki?

      Studies show that hinoki has a multitude of health and wellness properties, including relaxing the body and promoting good sleep, as well as being light, smooth, naturally antibacterial, insect-repellent and extremely tolerant to humidity.

    • Where does your hinoki wood come from?

      The hinoki (also known as Japanese Cypress) we use is PEFC-certified, sustainably harvested in Japan.

    • Where are your products made?

      Our products are handcrafted in England in our London-based workshop.

    • Are your products safe for children?

      Children’s wellbeing and safety is at the forefront of what we do. Our products have rounded, child-friendly profiles. Our Rainbow Seedling chair is dyed with certified no-toxic dye and coated with certified non-toxic oils; all other items in our range are uncoated and non-toxic.

    • What is your lead-time for bespoke services?

      It varies depending on the scale of the project and the design requirements, but it typically takes approximately 6-12 weeks.

    Return and Refund

    • What is your refund policy?

      We are happy to issue a refund for any unused item that is returned in its original condition and packaging (excluding sale items).

      • Within 14 days for UK orders
      • Within 21 days for EU orders
      • Within 30 days for international orders

      Unfortunately, we cannot offer you a refund after the days stated above.

    • What is return eligibility?

      To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the exact condition that you received it, including the original packaging.

    • How can I return an item?

      To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

      Please attach either an invoice or a copy of your purchase order email confirmation with your returned goods.

      *Please do not send your purchase back to the Aromon office without prior email notification.

      When returning an item, please retain any proof of postage from your chosen courier. We will not be responsible for any item that is lost or damaged in transit. If you are returning an item, please ensure that it is well packaged to prevent any damage during transit and ensure its safe journey. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item and we cannot accept returned items with any damage incurred in transit. Please make a direct claim with your courier. Please also note that all shipping and handling fees cannot be returned.

    • What is refund procedure?

      Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. Once approved, your refund will be processed and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit or debit card or original method of payment within 3 to 5 working days.

      Our delivery times vary with each product. Please refer to the individual product’s page for details on delivery time.

    • What does shipping cost?

      Shipping cost will be calculated at checkout based on your country of delivery.
